 The sisters of the yam Writing Society exist to hold space—intentionally, consistently, and with care—for Black women to write, reflect, and return to themselves. This work is slow, relational, and deeply necessary. It requires resources that honor process over performance and people over production.

Contributions allow us to offer facilitated writing spaces, compensate artists and facilitators with dignity, maintain privacy-centered programming, and keep our offerings accessible to those who need them most.
